FOR THE HOLY LAND
September 12/13 Weekend
Pope Francis announced at the Vatican on April 2 that he postponed the traditional Good Friday collection for the Holy Land to September. The Vatican said that the date of the collection, which takes place on the eve of the feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, “will be a sign of rediscovered hope and of salvation after the Passion that many people now participate in, as well as solidarity with those who continue to live the Gospel of Jesus in the land where ‘it all began.’” Therefore, St. Thomas More will hold a special collection for the worldwide Holy Land Collection on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13. Please prayerfully consider your donation, which may be placed in the offertory baskets at the back of church or go to https://stthomasmorechurch.churchgiving.com/ws/opportunities/HolyLand-GoodFriday to give online through WeShare.

Are you an adult or young adult who is looking for a way to get involved in the Church and grow your faith, but haven’t known where to start?
St. Thomas More Youth Ministry is looking for volunteers to help mentor and disciple the young people of our parish! You will learn how to witness your faith to the young people of our parish, and grow your own faith in the process. The Knights of Columbus will be outside the church the weekend of September 19th & 20th for their annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Proceeds
are used to help those intellectually disabled.
